This certainly has been the week for awkward conversations.
It's a tough job being objective when you're an older brother and when you're a friend.
Does everyone constantly wonder what the other person is thinking? And what the other person thinks you're thinking? And what the other person thinks you're thinking they're thinking? It sort of glues your tongue to the roof of your mouth. And you can't say all that you wanted to say. All that you were prepared to say. All that you had written down on a little sheet of paper and kept safely in your pocket to say.
I've tried extreme frankness. It didn't work. I've tried denial. And i tried running away. There's just no way out. The spoken language was invented so that the awkwardness of every awkward conversation is maximised...
Looks like the only way to keep the people in my life close, is to use tranquilizers.
Well lookee here, it's time for class.
Oh joy.
