Do you believe(that i'm nuts)?

The funniest thing happened the day i was coming back from Trichy. As is usual, i was sitting with my nose stuck to the window, watching the passing scenery(what little i could see of it at midnight). We were a few hours outside Trichy and i was kinda drowsy, and then suddenly we rounded a bend in the road and i saw this spiral of lights at a distance. So i thought, "ok, nice lights", and closed my eyes again. And then i realised what i'd just seen. There was a giant spiral of white lights with its base on the ground and the lights winding up into the sky. And here's the catch(theres always a catch), they had no discernable means of support. They just seemed to be hanging in mid-air. And for several minutes, i just sat with my lower jaw hanging, wild theories of aliens running through my mind. It sounds funny when i say it now, but i was really, really scared and my entire belief system had come crashing down around my ears. Its like you suddenly wake up and realise that you've been reaching all the way around your head for your nose when its right there in front of your face. That was when i really started to panic(insanity and claustrophobia isn't a pretty sight! If you ask why the 'claustrophobia, you haven't seen a n inter-city semi-sleeper.)

So there i was, heading for the looney bin, when i realised where i was. I was surrounded by my friends. Nice, unimaginative, stolid guys... the kinda guys who'd laugh at me for the very fact that i was sitting up at night and arguing with myself. I mean, watching f.r.i.e.n.d.s or playing Warcraft III is one thing, but wasting good sleeping time on soliloquy... thats sacrilege! It was then that i snapped out of it, realised i was over analyzing myself(like some people i know. guess who!) and i said 'screw it' and went to sleep.

As always, the very act of stretching this out over several weeks has totally ruined it! This wasn't at all what i wanted to say!

p.s. Needless to say, it was some stupid shrine of some kind. At least, that would be the logical explanation. :-|
