Ok, for people who know me, i think this will come as a surprise.
I sang today. In front of strangers!! A pub full of strangers!! Woohoo!! And i won a watch for the singing(not as important as the singing itself though)!!
I got up in front of everyone, and i sang 'Can't buy me love' by The Beatles. :) :D (is there an emoticon to depict exhilaration?)
I know, i know, it doesn't seem like such a big deal, but i am terribly terribly afraid of doing anything that might make me conspicuous. I always try to stay in the shadows. But when i got a chance to sing a Beatles' song, i couldn't resist!! :D
So yay!! I am very proud of myself today. Important first step. i even asked to sing a few more, but they wanted to give everyone a turn... :(
Anyway, i don't know what's next. Maybe... dancing?? :P
Also, Odie won a bottle of wine in the lucky draw. But it was a big letdown. They handed out a fender and a yamaha!! Damn it!! We reely reely wanted the guitars!! Who cares about a crummy bottle of chardonnay!! :( And you know what might have been a consolation? getting my weight in beer which also, some other idiot won(very very small consolation, true, but still consolation. I might not have remembered the guitars after 150 cans of beer. :)). Oh well, i guess i'll settle for the free watch and the ability to make a fool of myself in front of other people.
Totally worth it. :)

@muddman - No da... i don't think anyone took videos. Though one of the guys might have taken a photo. Morons!! One day, when i'm the #1 rock star of all time, they'll wish they'd taken the bloody video :P And dude! How'd you guess da?? :P I was pretty confused about what to sing, but after a few stimulants(and the fact that only the first few guys to sing could win prizes), i closed my eyes, picked a random song from the beatles list and went for it!! Yup, you heard me, i chose it myself!! :D
Maybe this means i've changed. I might even pick the side-dish when we eat out at gate this weekend... :D

yeah baby!! It'll be like old times!! Fighting over the kadalai, you saying, 'no, no, i'm not drinking today', and then getting sloshed, bharaths ordering chicken sandwich and you ordering singapore rice-and-noodles, Bharaths and TSV throwing up at the end... :D
