Opinion

One of the more difficult things in my life has been the matter of opinion. Everybody has one, and very rare it is that someone is so completely neutral that they can keep aloof from an argument on the subject(as someone claiming to be "neutral" in many cases, i can testify to it personally). But arguments(at least in college) are always light hearted and at most only leads to frustration. And frustration without anger isn't such a bad thing... It makes me work harder at trying to prove my point. On a vaguely connected issue, i have been nominated "Best Debater" by my fellow wing mates or as they like to put it, "never gives up and often resorts to illogical and nonsensical statements to have the last word". But they're just sore losers. I know i'm perfectly logical!!

And my usual second-paragraph look tells me that i have digressed from my intended topic yet again. My point was that what do you do if you seriously disagree with a friend?? On a topic that he/she("he" for convenience) feels very passionately about. I don't know what to do... My first instinct would be to call him an idiot and a few other choice epithets and proceed from there. but clearly i can't do that, so i quell my anger, think of a rational argument which is then refuted with a skewed logic that just infuriates me even more... It's a vicious cycle. It is. Because the angrier i get, the closer i'm reduced to a sputtering imbecile... Basically, a lose-lose situation. So the point of all this being... nobody disagree with me!! That sounds like the best solution for all concerned, no??
