I have PVS

I find myself very puzzled when people don't respond to their messages or missed calls immediately. Or when they leave their phone somewhere and buzz off for more than a couple of minutes. I just can't imagine being separated from my phone for very long, nor could i bring myself to hold back if i receive a message. I just have to reply immediately.

I don't know what it is that makes me so anxious to always be in touch. I just can't lose contact with the rest of the world.

I feel terrible when i find that someone has sent me a message or buzzed me on google talk, and i've missed it. Whether it was because i was busy, i was away or i just didn't hear the sound, it doesn't matter. It weighs on my mind that when my friends or family want to talk to me, i'm not around.

All this anxiety to keep in constant contact is yet another product of technology i guess. Not that i'd ever give it all up. I'd rather die of stress than be separated from my cache of gadgets. I just can't imagine what people did when all they had was snail-mail to talk to each other.

Which reminds me, I think i also have PVS. Damn it! The price we have to pay to keep up with the rest of the world...

Oh i highly doubt i'll have as many messages or missed calls waiting for me. It's not like i'm flooded with either at any point of the day... I just feel a lot better when i consider the fact that there is a chance that somebody will call or message. And having the phone off or locking it in my cupboard doesn't help any.

its got nothing to do with people calling/messaging.a phone is just.. demanding.328 messages in my inbox is the result of many months of not checking my mail.
